Chat Over Coffee: Boss Blogger Tag

Hey y'all - this post marks the very first "Chat Over Coffee with Abby" segment. I want this to be a weekly blog post that discusses whatever has been on my mind or what happened to me over the weekend.

So without further to do, grab your cup of coffee and sit down with me on this beautiful Monday morning!

For those who have been around for a few years, you know this is not my first attempt at keeping a successful blog. I believe I started to create a blog and stopped numerous times because I was not very secure in myself. I was never able to pin-point exactly who "Abby" was and therefore struggled to keep a consistency with my blogging.

My first year of college shaped me tremendously. Being on my own and away from my hometown forced me to really pin-point who "Abby" was and what her goals in life are. So, here I am.

After much self-exploration, I realized "Abby" is a beautiful, independent, and wonderfully talented individual who wants to grow and help others see their full potential too.

To start off my first segment, what better way to dive back into blogging than answer questions curated by fellow bloggers that I adore? Here goes nothing:

1. What made you want to start a blog? (www.faithfashionfoodwithnc.wordpress.com)

A: I created a blog around 2-3 years ago called "The Dragonfly". I created that blog because I wanted to document what dragonflies meant to me spiritually along my journey of life. Though I loved the idea of my original creation, I kind of grew out of it during my freshman year of college. Thus, after careful consideration, I re-created my blog to be focused on my interests in fashion, life tips, - anything to get me writing!

I also love the blogging community and think it is a wonderful way to network with other powerful individuals, such as myself. Blogging is more than taking Instagram pictures; it is about carefully curating a look, style, and writing content that will spark the interest of others. I think having a blog challenges me creatively and intellectually.

2. What's your favorite post you've created? (www.lellowb.wordpress.com)

A: Since my blog is relatively new, I'd say my favorite post thus far was my "Money, Money, Money" one. I recieved so much positive feedback fromt this post and I thrive knowing I helped people by sharing my personal tips on how to manage money better.

3. Where in the world are you from? (www.twenty-five-thoughts.com)

A: That is a great question - I am from a very small suburb outside of Philadelphia in Pennsylvannia. I go to college near Harrisburg!

4. What country is at the top of your bucket list? (@abigailclifford)

A: ICELAND - a beautiful country, I feel drawn to visit it.

5. What's your favorite way to relax at the end of the day? (www.lifewithapop.com)

A: I love to just sit on the couch with my roomates and talk about our days while watching tv (most likely HGTV!) If I am with my boyfriend, I love to just lay down and cuddle. Cuddles = ultimate stress relief!

6. How did you come up with your blog name? (www.onehappybrunette.com)

A: I knew I wanted to incorporate my name, so I was stuck between either "Abby's Corner" or "Coffee with Abby". I created an Instagram poll and allowed my followers to help me choose my final name. "Coffee with Abby" won by a landslide and I believe it's because I may have a small caffiene addiction...

7. Biggest goal as a blogger? (www.kimbermoose.com)

A: To grow as a writer and reach a larger audience with my creativity. I think a huge plus would also to be able to recieve free items from companies or earn money through advertisements - broke college student dreams, ya know?

8. What's the one thing you hope people get from visiting your site? (www.kimbermoose.com)

A: Inspiration and self-acceptance/growth. I want everyone who reads my posts to feel content with themselves but also feel an itch to do something great with their time on Earth.

9. What advice would you give beginner bloggers? (www.emanne.com)

A: Do not underestimate the power of networking through Instagram and Twitter. Get your posts out there and seen by the world! Also, never be afraid to write something that is true to yourself.

10. What are some of your hobbies? (@the0nlyariana)

A: I love to edit/take pictures, listen to music, play tennis, visit new places, watch tv shows and play card games with boyfriend. I use to read books all the time, but with being in college, I feel as if I no longer have the energy!

11. Where is your #1 favorite place to eat? (www.wonderandtraveller.wordpress.co)

A: This is the hardest question thus far. I think my favorite place to eat is either Red Robin or Chairo's, which is a small pizza chain near my hometown. Red Robin has delicious burgers and Chairo's has the BEST pizza/french fries.

12. What's your favorite part about being a blogger? (@thoughtsfromjasmine)

A: The best part of being a blogger is sharing my experiences with those who enjoy reading my thoughts and having a positive impact on their daily lives. I think being able to touch or inspire someone by not even being in the same room as them is powerful.

13. What's the most adventerous thing you've ever done? (www.chrisandcharliesadventures.com)

A: I think the most suprising adventerous thing I've ever done was explore/climb an abandoned quarry with my high school friends. I was terrified; had to climb grabbing onto tree roots against loose dirt, scraped my legs dodging falling rock, ran from park rangers, and had to cross a little creek balancing on a rope. It was a lot to take in.

Thank you for joining me in my first "Chat Over Coffee with Abby" post. If you were literally drinking coffee, I hope it was as magical as you'd hope this morning when you first woke up.

Please take the time to explore the other boss blogger babes I have tagged following each question - these are all such creative and inspiring individuals!

Until Friday,

Abby
