Hey lovelies - I hope the first week of 2019 is treating you well!
This blog post will be dedicated to discussing what I did over my Holiday break from college.
One word to describe my three weeks off? Hectic.
My three weeks home from college went by so fast and it was quite bittersweet returning for classes.
So, what did my hectic holiday season consist of? Keep reading to find out!
December 15th - Took the two hour trip home from my college, def stopped for Dunkin'!
December 16th - I spent the night hanging out with my family, an event that was long overdue since returning for my sophomore year in the middle of August. My siblings and I took the time to create sugar cookies with my mother. It was fun getting messy with the flour and laughing over silly cookie cut-out creations.
December 19th - I came home from working at the newspaper office to a mysterious package addressed to me from Buzzfeed. YES - BUZZFEED! I was so excited to open this package once my stepdad handed it to me. The package was gifted to me for being one of the top users/creators for the Buzzfeed Community page in 2018 (Mind you - I only started in July!)
December 20th - After having a sleepover and a breakfast at the local Diner with my high school friends, I headed to Philadelphia to go Christmas shopping for the day with my stepdad. We spent the day going through various stores, including: American Eagle, Timberland, etc.
It was a rainy and rather cold evening, but exploring the city is always my favorite thing to do with my stepdad. This day was great since I was able to snag some quality time with him. We made the mistake of leaving the city at rush hour and ended up needing to get off the blue route before we ran out of gas!
December 21st + 23rd - I had got together with two of my high school friends, Carly & Jamie, and decided to take fun pictures to spice up our Instagram feeds. Hanging out with them was refreshing and exciting - I do not get to see them often due to being away at college. We also were able to sneak in breakfast/lunch on those days!
December 22nd - I was able to celebrate Christmas with both my stepdad's family and my dad's side of the family this day. It was full of laughter and driving (haha!). I was grateful to be able to see both families. Family means a lot to me, so this is intensified near the holidays.
December 25th - I woke up at 6:30 A.M. to drink my coffee and open presents. Unfortunately, I ended up having to wake up my younger siblings to open gifts around 8 A.M. What can I say? I am a sucker for Christmas.
I spent the morning opening gifts and having home-made breakfast with my family. Halfway through the day, my boyfriend came open to exchange gifts - my favorite part of the day these past three years.
Then my boyfriend and I went to spend the rest of Christmas at his Nana's to exchange gifts and have dinner with his side of the family. I am truly blessed, for his family treats me like one of their own. I love being apart of their family!
December 27th - This day I went out to breakfast with Jamie and Carly, then got MY NOSE PIERCED! Getting my nose pierced had been on my mind for months and I finally decided to do it. I was so nervous, yet excited to get the piercing - I am still so glad I had gotten it done almost two weeks later.
December 29th - My sister, Ally, and I had breakfast with my dad. It was nice catching up with him at one of my sister and I's favorite breakfast place. Ally and I spent the rest of the day hanging out. This was a very relaxing day.
December 31st - I spent New Years Eve hanging out with Carly. We decided to have a "chill and grandma-like" New Years Eve celebration. We got dolled up to take pictures, but immediately changed into pajamas to spend the night watching the Taylor Swift Reputation Stadium Tour on Netflix. Right after the ball dropped, we went to bed.
The last week at home was spent with family and working at the newspaper. Being home was nice to have a break from school work and I was quite sad saying goodbye to my parents.
If you have made it this far in my blog post, THANK YOU!
My next blog post will be an explanation of all the clothes I received for Christmas and recent purchases.
I am so excited to be adventuring into the Lifestyle Blogger Universe! Let me know what you would like me to cover in the comment section below.
Until next time,
